Slow Cooker Bacon Ranch Chicken

This was incredibly delicious!  It was a bit on the salty side, though.  I found a recipe for making your own ranch dressing mix, and I am planning to make my own, with much less salt.  In the meantime, I just added more sour cream and that improved the overly saltiness.

Ingredients:

  • 3 strips bacon, cooked in small pieces
  • 3-4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • pasta of choice

Directions:

  1. If freezing, combine all ingredients but pasta in freezer bag and freeze flat, then place in refrigerator to thaw the day before cooking.
  2. Place all except pasta in crockpot and cook 5-7 hours on low or 3-4 hours on high.
  3. Cook pasta.
  4. Remove chicken from crockpot and shred with two forks.  Add sauce to chicken again and mix together.
  5. Serve over pasta.
